This picture is already few days old, Pp of my facebook and probably already lost it's charm but since this blog is going to be more about 'exploring' my style I am going to feature it anyway :). I should have had it here first but I was darn too excited.
whilst everyone is on about assymetrical hemlined skirt, I am loving my denims. Sometimes there is nothing like a good pair of jeans! This is my very relaxed look:)

Dot in Vogue
It (i mean the dots) looked so cute I had to blog it! Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese contemporary artist's collaboration with Louis Vuitton is one to look out for. The 83 year old's signature look is a crimson bob wig, lipstick that matches and obviously polka dotted tunics, which when I first passed thought her to be an artistic psychic!
Yayoi's dot power is spreading worldwide, yet the most amusing fact about her is, for the past 35 years she has been lived in Tokyo's Seiwa hospital for mentally ill, that also by choice! that's interesting enough to look out!

I am trying!!
My blog looked so weak I had to feed it with canvas and acrylic. July already and its been a while. My excuse is that I have this new course going on and it has rented my full attention. So, between those classes and normal chores I have been painting! It's not great but I am trying. Both are inspired from a fat little book called 'The Fashion Book'.
I like contradiction, hence, the body opposes the background. I don't really have a theme here, I just thought it was a great model. And why do I love painting? because, besides, the cool paint color mess all over you, I love creating :)

Moi is featured!
It's one of those days, when after taking pictures, the camera gives nothing but satisfaction. Yes! I admit I am loving taking pictures at the moment. All thanks to zumba and though rarely clean but a lot more healthier diet! (still I have a long way to go!)
Diverting to fashion, I love the fact that Singapore's weather is so, the way it is! Like I mentioned earlier I do miss leggings and scarves and hats, but the heat is so healing, it makes it all up!

Yet Again From My Scrap!
Months before blogging, I had a diary where I stored my plans for the blog. There were many titles and plans. I had it because I wouldn't want to run out of ideas. The idea of having a book full of plans secured me. It would 'protect me' I thought. But, surprisingly I haven't used any of them! It was a relief, because this meant, I won't be 'topicless' and also, when I had all these topics set up, I just focused on it and it just delayed doing the blog. This also led me to another book, which I called 'IP' (Inspiration pages), where I collected pages with patterns, colours and pictures that interested and amazed me. This one is helpful though. I wonder if you ever did this!? Because sometimes, early planning can be so track wrecking. Spontanity is more favorable.

How Do You Wear Your Collar? The DIM(did it myself)!:-)
I don't think it's time to eschew collar necklaces just yet! not for me anyway. I just got into making them and I am actually quite flattered with my work! Also a few days ago a friend of mine installed the art of embroidery in me and I am not exactly hooked, but loving it. Although it's very time consuming and since it's my early days, its very amateurish. But, the result made me smile, so it's all good :
The appartus used were - collars(you can go with the stuffs necklaces are made of, but finding an unattractive shirt was so easy! and it does say 'collar), sequins, Pearls, stones from old necklaces, netted roses from a skirt (which was an impulsive but later what-the -hell -was-I-thinking buy), elastic band, needles and thread. Bring it together and sew, it's that simple :

Snowhite and the dark style.
This movie had been in my 'To watch' list since long time. The film wasn't as good as I expected, however, I liked the feminine twist. I liked how the Princess rescues herself and actually fights! It reminded me of Angela Carter's heroines, minus the erotica.
The sombre costumes of Snowhite, very much mirrors Kristen Staurt's off screen style. It's dark, leather (the scene when she is jumping off to the water when running away, leather trousers underneath!) and boots! Somewhere inbetween or perhaps hybrid of gothic and rock.
Besides the movie and Chris Hemsworth the very interesting thing happening was the Evil Queen's jewellries! Loud, big, long and sassy. I know she is evil youth sucker but, she's fine (fashion wise).
